Getting around: your options for a sustainable future

People ride bikes on a Wellington cycleway.

Term 4 2020 featured a virtual field trip all about sustainable and safe transport choices.

What: Virtual field trip online hosted by LEARNZ

Students walk or bike to school while some take the bus or train. Electric bikes are used for commuting, while electric scooters give people an alternative to short journeys in cars. All these choices reduce traffic congestion and pollution.

This trip fits well with big ideas such as: design thinking, future focus, personal health and well-being, perspectives, transport, technological change and innovation.
