This Road Map directs schools and communities to road safety education resources relevant for each stage of a child’s development.

Road Map Years 1-8

The version for years 1-8 was published in July 2013 and includes the latest resources and new case studies showing road safety education in action through the curriculum. It includes reflective questions on how to extend student learning in line with notions about citizenship education.

Road Map: Secondary schools

The Road Map for secondary schools guides teachers to learning outcomes and resources specific to secondary students and novice drivers. It includes tables summarising research findings into effective road safety education, and show the implication for road safety of research findings about how young people learn.

The Road Map poster provides an overview of all the stages of development across early childhood, primary and secondary education.

It includes an overview of a whole-school approach to road safety.
