Digital Technologies gives students scope to create digital outcomes that respond to an authentic context, in this case road safety for people of their generation.

Year 9-10 lesson plan

This unit aligns to the technological practice strand and to Progress Outcome 2 or 3 of Designing and Developing Digital Outcomes.

Students interview stakeholders about knowledge of risks to safe road use, and then create a digital media presentation to increase audience awareness of safer road use.

Lessons include brief writing, concept development, production and evaluation.

The presentation could be a movie, animation or presentation.
