Maria is an experienced and committed educator with current teaching experience in Māori Medium settings at both primary and secondary levels. Maria has a driving interest in supporting Māori Medium kura, educators, whānau, hapū, and iwi to implement informed programmes of learning based on robust, evidence-based assessment practices. Developing marau ā-kura to reflect the individual nature of each kura, hapū, and iwi is also of primary interest to her.

An experienced educator, Ruth has current teaching experience in full primary settings and has held various leadership roles.

At present, Ruth works as a facilitator for Evaluation Associates in Auckland. She is committed to supporting kaiako to actively engage students in the learning process including, the assessment of their own learning.
