Submit a school road safety story

We are looking for stories about road and rail safety education at your school. Stories about students from new entrants to Year 13 are all welcome. We're keen to hear about:

  • how students learn through the curriculum about staying safe while walking, cycling, or as a passenger or driver

  • how you and your colleagues create a whole-school approach to road and rail safety

  • actions and outcomes that have resulted from community partnerships

  • how you are using NZTA education resources.

Read the existing stories on the site to get an idea of what other schools are doing. They might provide creative inspiration for activities at your school.

This is how it works:

  1. You fill in the form below with your story – you can upload a word document if it’s easier
  2. You upload up to three pictures
  3. Your regional coordinator will get the story live on this website
  4. You tell all your friends to come and read it!

Please only upload pictures of people that have given permission for their image to be used. This includes parents/caregivers of any featured children. Your coordinator will be in touch shortly with a standard consent form.
