Who would have ever thought of a Feet First Opposite's Day ?
Fairhaven Travel Smart students/School Councillors have decided to have a fun Feet First theme each term alongside their Travel Safe programme.
Who would have ever thought of an “Opposites Feet First” day on the last week of Term 3.
· Students dressed back to front
· Socks on top of shoes
· Walking backwards slowly up the footpath
· Faces on the back of your head
What a fun way to encourage students to walk or more importantly get dropped at the two drop off points the Senior students have been encouraging all year on Wednesdays Feet First Day. The message is getting through as less to very few cars are coming close to the school gate to drop students off. What a difference the students are making with their ideas and consistent pro-active approach and students of all ages are enjoying meeting friends and walking together from the pick up and drop off safe areas.
