Final stretch for Future Transport Competition
12 June 2017. There’s a few weeks left for school students and their teachers to submit their games or narratives about transforming transport systems.
The Future Transport Competition challenges students in Years 1-13 to investigate the transport system and share their ideas for the future as games or narratives.
The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 30 June 2017 – which is one week before the end of Term 2.
Review your progress
This is a good time to remind students to check progress against their own project milestones with a view to getting entries in before that deadline.
Students can check their work against the judging criteria – see sidebar. These are what the the panel of judges will use to compare entries.
Also take an advanced look at the online entry form. It’s an easy way to check exactly what you’ll need to submit.
“This competition is an amazing opportunity to weave the mind-bending transport trends of tomorrow with the creative power of today’s digital technology. I‘m looking forward to pieces that will make us all think twice about what lies ahead.” Competition judge Karen Spencer
Each winning entry receives $4000 in gift vouchers ($2000 for the school, $1500 total for the students, $500 for the supervising teacher).
Don’t forget, all entries which meet competition terms and conditions and are not selected as category prize winners go into a lucky draw for one of 6 x $1000 vouchers for their school.
